Job Summary
Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing, the Corporate Communication Manager will play a key role in contributing to the planning, development and execution of the overall communication and marketing strategy to support the business objectives of Distech Controls.
You’ll work cross-functionally with colleagues in marketing, product, sales, human resources, R&D and design to create engaging strategies and content that maximize engagement with different stakeholders, both internally and externally.
The ideal candidate is a rockstar communicator and storyteller with strong project management skills and the flexibility to support our overall marketing strategy as needed and the growth of the organization by building awareness and commitment to the Distech Controls brand.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Play an active role in assessing corporate communication needs within the company, as well as in developing and implementing communication strategies.
- Develop global brand marketing and campaigns.
- Manage public relations (key messages, press releases, Q&A documents, company positioning, etc.).
- Promote and protect the reputation of the company and its product brands.
- Support internal clients with the development and execution of effective communication strategies that contribute to increasing employer branding awareness.
- Create content for various internal and external communication tools including speaking notes, corporate presentations, brochures, newsletters as well as digital assets to support marketing campaigns.
- Coordinate review process, where appropriate, with internal stakeholders.
- Develop messaging and materials pertaining to the company's sustainability program.
- Coordinate communication initiatives with external service providers.
- Perform all other duties related to the position.
Skills and Minimum Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations or related field
- 5+ years of experience in a similar communications role
- Excellent writing skills in English (priority) and French
- Strong listening and communication skills
- Ability to provide advice to internal clients and management
- Ability to articulate complex subject matter in a straightforward, concise, and easily digestible manner for various audiences
- The ability to juggle multiple projects while being flexible to accommodate shifting priorities
- Initiative and team spirit, at ease in a remote working environment
- Sense of organization and priorities, rigor, and attention to detail
- B2B experience in the technology sector an asset
