Overhead Crane Operator

Reporting to the Melt Shop Supervisor, the Crane Operator’s duties and responsibilities will include some of the following :

• Operates overhead cab cranes to lift, move, transport and position material / equipment safely, effectively and responsibly in a heavy industrial environment.
• Completes inspection reports and maintain housekeeping of cranes being operated.
• Observes and adheres to all safety policies and procedures, including wearing PPE.
• Performs all other tasks and duties associated with the job.

This position pays $28.66 per hour with overtime available after 40 hours per week in accordance with the Collective Agreement, and a shift premium is paid to employees working the afternoon shift ($0.35) and ($0.55) working the night shift.
