Experience managing unionized staff and knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety legislation.
Job Title : Food Service Supervisor
Join our team at Extendicare as a Food Service Supervisor in Ottawa, Ontario. This full-time position involves working 75 hours bi-weekly in our 256-bed long-term care facility.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and deliver high-quality dietary services for residents.
- Apply continuous quality improvement principles to workflow, performance, and service changes to meet legislative requirements.
- Select, supervise, and motivate dietary staff; promote teamwork and productivity.
- Ensure all food preparation and storage areas meet Public Health standards.
- Maintain records per policies, procedures, and legislative requirements, including menus.
- Coordinate with residents, families, officials, and professionals regarding care and department activities.
- Participate in budgeting; manage departmental budget and food costs.
