Who we’re looking for :
Operations Support Systems (OSS) is the department dedicated to applications that enable our technology teams to actively plan, deploy & operate our networks. As an automation development specialist in OSS, you will design and develop solutions to streamline our processes and drive innovative designs on key technology components.
Location :
Calgary or Greater Toronto Area (Canada).
What you’ll do :
- Work in a fast‑paced environment in a small, agile team collaborating with teams across the company to tackle complex technical challenges.
- Listen to the customer to identify issues and build requirements.
- Create solutions to automate network‑management platforms while experimenting with cutting‑edge technologies.
What you bring :
Strong communication skills, able to break down complex technological explanations into layman’s terms.Collaboration mindset to find innovative solutions.Team player with respect for everyone’s ideas.Capability to commit to multiple projects at once, manage changing priorities and see them through to completion.Degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent.Deep knowledge of system architecture, database management, and integration technologies.Understanding of cloud‑native applications using microservices and CI / CD pipelines.Core Kubernetes concepts such as pods, deployments, and services.Familiarity with OpenShift architecture, web console, CLI (OC) and container, networking, storage, security management.Ability to understand business processes and requirements.What’s in it for you :
