On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting an Accountant to join their team of dedicated professionals in Bedford, Nova Scotia.

As part of the Finance team, this position includes supporting full cycle accounting for a group of companies, preparing month-end financials, budgeting and forecasting activities, financial reporting and analysis, and other project work. Reporting to the Controller, we are looking for an individual who is well-organized, analytical, able to provide high quality and accurate financial reporting, as well as someone with a positive attitude and motivation to create efficiencies and support the continued growth within the Company.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare consistent, timely and accurate month-end and year-end financial statements.
• Oversee general ledger entries and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all accounts.
• Support accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and other reporting requirements.
• Analyze financial and non-financial data.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new systems and processes.
• Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures as necessary.
• Mentor and support junior staff.
• Support the Controller with special projects and ad hoc reporting as needed.
