About the Cost Accountant position

We are looking for a skilled Cost Accountant to help us with performing cost analyses and preparing budget reports. Your responsibilities will also include building updated databases and manage cost information to help to maximize the company's profitability.

A successful candidate should have excellent analytical skills and be able to combine different data and perform calculations of profit margins. We expect you to have experience with creation of detailed reports to present cost-effective solutions.

Cost Accountant responsibilities are :

Calculate and propose fixed costs (such as salaries, rent, and insurance)

Build data accumulation systems

Review company's standard and actual costs and report any inaccurate data

Retrieve cost information and manage company's expenses databases

Perform planning of variable costs (such as material purchases and operations costs)

Create budgeting reports for different company's departments and present them to senior management

Review profit margins and prepare reports on the results

Create cost forecasts on monthly, quarterly and annual basis

Organize month-end and year-end closing activities

Develop cost-effective solutions and present them to senior management

Cost Accountant requirements are :

3+ years' experience of working on a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, Accountant or similar position

Significant experience with accounting procedures

Excellent knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Good practical experience with accounting software, such as FreshBooks and Zoho

Good level of computer literacy, particularly with MS Excel

Strong analytical and time management skills, with close attention to detail

Productivity, responsibility and ability to handle confidential information
