Family Lawyer

We are seeking a Family Lawyer to join our client's team in Toronto, Ontario. In this role, you will provide expert legal counsel and support across all areas of family law, delivering customized solutions to help clients achieve their goals. The ideal candidate is committed to offering compassionate, client-centered service while navigating complex legal issues.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in family law matters such as divorce, child custody, spousal support, and property division.
• Draft and review legal agreements, including marriage contracts, cohabitation agreements, and adoption applications.
• Deliver strategic advice to clients by evaluating their objectives and proposing options in line with family law requirements.
• Negotiate settlements and help mediate disputes with the aim of securing positive outcomes for clients.
• Perform in-depth legal research to keep informed on updates and developments in family law.
• Advocate for clients in court, presenting arguments and evidence effectively.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to ensure thorough legal support for each case.
• Build lasting relationships with clients, showing empathy and understanding throughout the process.
• Manage case files efficiently, maintain accurate documentation, and meet all deadlines.
• Uphold legal standards and ethical practices in all aspects of family law.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience practicing family law.
• Solid understanding of family law principles and procedures.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven ability to negotiate and mediate effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Licensed to practice law in Ontario and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
• Commitment to providing empathetic and client-focused legal services.
