About the Role

The Kemptville housing team is seeking to add an Animal Care Supervisor to join this growing and evolving team. This role is responsible for partnering with the Animal Care leadership team in leading and coordinating the daily animal care and semen collection process with a focus on maximizing production, semen quality and animal health.

What You Will Do:

• Lead daily animal care operations and verify routines are completed to standard.
• Monitoring and ensuring PPE, sanitation, and biosecurity protocols are followed.
• Semen collection, coordination and participation in semen collection activities.
• Facilities and equipment management to ensure maintenance and safety.
• Daily supervision and direction to direct reports.
• Probationary and performance reviews on all direct reports.
• Maintain accurate documentation including AX entries, logs, and timecards
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve operational issues.

What You Need to Succeed:

• 2–4 years of experience in herd management.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate workloads effectively.
• Strong delegation skills with the ability to assign tasks appropriately and follow up on outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with tools and software such as AX, SharePoint, and ADP.

Work Location & Minimum Pay Rate

This is an in-person role requiring 5 days per week in our Kemptville location. This role is full time, and offers a minimum starting wage of $72 200 with potential compensation enhancements based on applicable experience and qualifications.
