What this role is all about :

Beem Credit Union is seeking a Branch Manager to lead the team at the Merritt Branch. You will be responsible for leading your team to increase member participation levels and ensuring that Beem is their primary financial institution. You are responsible for leading and executing on sales and service strategies in support of your region’s corporate business goals. As a coach and a leader, you are actively engaged with your team on strategies to meet the immediate needs of the members while looking for additional opportunities to grow the business and to educate members on alternative channels.

What you’ll do :

  • Provide weekly coaching to your team in the following areas : Create branch campaigns to promote Beem products and servicesGrow business in the community by building relationships with centers of influence such as realtors, lawyers, accountants, etc.Maintain a high level of member satisfaction and address member complaints in a timely mannerCoach to ensure that member relationships are expanded and maintained ( Right member right offer)Educate members in all delivery channels
  • Actively engage in business building in the community, creating growth opportunities for the organization.
  • Active involvement in working with our other channels; Online, Member Service Centre in support of servicing members
  • Adhere to Branch Compliance and Audit responsibilities
  • Manage branch security and safety while adhering to corporate policies and procedures
  • Manage controllable expenses and branch budget
  • Administer Terms and Conditions of Employment, as they apply to employees in the branch
  • Actively engage within your team in problem-solving to make decisions, implement solutions and adopt changes

A little about your qualifications :

  • A university degree in a related field plus the Associate of the Credit Union Institute designation or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Lean White Belt certification
  • years of leadership / management experience preferably in the financial services sector
  • Knowledge of employment laws and other relevant legislation, strategic management practices and accounting principles and practices
  • Proven sales and service experience in the financial industry
  • Comprehensive understanding of credit products and procedures
  • Knowledgeable in full range of investment products
