The Role
We’re hiring a Materials Intelligence & IP Engineer to help guide the technical direction of the Crypsis Class platform through applied research, analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
In this role, you’ll contribute to building a deep technical understanding of advanced material systems by integrating insights from experimentation, testing, and a broad range of technical sources. Your work will support how we evaluate material performance, design testing strategies, and make informed decisions as the technology evolves.
This role sits at the intersection of materials science, applied R&D, and intellectual property, with visibility across research, test development, and product planning efforts. It’s well suited to someone who enjoys synthesizing complex information, working across disciplines, and translating technical understanding into durable program and IP outcomes.

Security Requirements
You must meet CISD and DDTC requirements for secret level personal security clearances to be eligible for this role. You are not required to have a security clearance already, although having one is a bonus.
If you do not already have CISD and DDTC security clearances, Alchemy will request information during the final steps of the interview process to perform a preliminary assessment for eligibility and likelihood of success in gaining a security clearance. If successful, we will assist you through the administrative process of gaining any required security clearances following your start date.
