Key Responsibilities
- Process high-volume vendor invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports
- Verify invoice accuracy and ensure proper GL coding and approvals
- Perform three-way matching (invoice, PO, delivery receipt)
- Prepare and process electronic payments, cheques, and wire transfers
- Reconcile accounts payable ledger and vendor statements
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Support month-end closing, accruals, and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards and healthcare regulations
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding payment inquiries
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk, AP Officer, or Finance AssistantStrong knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial reportingFamiliarity with accounting software (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems)Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entryUnderstanding of Canadian accounting principles and compliance standardsStrong communication and organizational skillsPreferred Qualifications
