Join our team as an Aircraft Mechanic, where you'll work on M1 aircraft, including Turbo Commanders and Grand Caravans, providing essential maintenance, repairs, and checks. Your expertise in understanding and navigating complex manuals will be crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet.

Responsibilities

• Perform labor checks ranging from 1500 to 2000 hours on aircraft.
• Conduct repairs, inspections, and panel removals on Air Tractors.
• Research and interpret manuals to find necessary information for aircraft maintenance.
• Support aircraft in field operations, particularly during fire-fighting efforts in various regions including Northern Alberta, Yukon, Alaska, and British Columbia.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and practices.
• Allocate basic tasks and inspections as a lead hand.

Essential Skills

• Minimum two years of experience with M1 aircraft.
• Possession of an M1 or M2 license, or equivalent apprentice experience.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding aircraft manuals.
• Experience in heavy maintenance on light aircraft.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with TC 690 and PT 6 modern lighter aircraft.
• Heavy maintenance experience on helicopters.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Good attitude and willingness to adapt.

Work Environment

Work alongside a dedicated team of 18 members, under the guidance of rotating TLs or lead hands. Bring your own basic tooling. The position primarily operates on a day shift from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with the potential for overtime and occasional 10-hour shifts. Expect 40-58 hours per week, with fieldwork requiring 8-hour days, 7 days a week, for up to 56 hours weekly. Enjoy competitive travel and accommodation packages, including per diem allowances.

The pay range for this position is $53.30 - $56.38/hr.
