TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for a Pre-Commissioning Manager role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.
This role is located on-site in Kamloops, BC following a 14x7 rotational schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Support the creation and execution of quality assurance protocols and site-specific procedures.
- Lead system-level testing, verification, and readiness activities across multiple process areas.
- Mentor and guide field personnel involved in startup and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to ensure timely mechanical completion and turnover.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards throughout pre-operational phases.
- Maintain strong relationships with client commissioning and operations teams, providing regular updates and performance insights.
- Manage pre-operational budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive pre-commissioning strategy aligned with project milestones and operational goals.
- Preform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in commissioning and startup within industrial, mining, or infrastructure sectors.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Familiarity with control room operations and plant startup procedures.
- Experience developing and executing pre-commissioning plans and integrated schedules.
- Skilled in managing budgets, resources, and timelines for commissioning scopes.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical field.
- Proven leadership in managing pre-operational phases of large-scale projects, including system-level testing and turnover.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools; experience with automation platforms is an asset.
