Ophthalmologist 300-0706

We have an opportunity for an Ophthalmology locum throughout the year. The role includes outpatient clinics three days a week, outpatient minor surgeries one day a week, and cataract surgeries one day a week. On-call coverage is required for 7 consecutive days. The provider will deliver care in clinic and / or at North Island Hospital - Comox Valley, including eye exams, diagnosis, and care planning for all patients.

The physician community is welcoming and collegial, with 19 full-service medical clinics, two walk-in clinics, and a military base clinic. The area is served by the Island Health-run Comox Valley Hospital, a 146-bed acute care facility.

Working hours are 8 : 00 am to 4 : 00 pm, Monday to Friday. On-call duties after hours are required.

Education, Training, and Experience

Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC.
