RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position summary
The incumbent will have to have an excellent communication skills, good knowledge of medical terms, and capable of working independently. Good knowledge in basic laboratory methods.

General Duties
• Recruit, interview et consent patients and some of their relatives,
• Send kits to collect saliva from family members,
• Extract DNA from blood and saliva,
• Establish cell lines,
• Communicate result reports to patients.

Education: Bachelor's Degree
Field of Study: Biomedical Sciences
Other education considered an asset for this position: Experience in interviewing patients
Work Experience: 1-2 years.

Required Skills

• Excellent French and English, spoken and written,
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
• Ability to work independently and with teams with minimum supervision,
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
