Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview

Emergency Response Services (ERS) Clinical Service Leaders are responsible for providing advanced levels of care to patients in both pre-hospital and inter-facility transport roles. This position plays a key role as part of a multi-disciplinary health care team and is dedicated to providing compassionate high-quality health care services.

The Clinical Service Leader is responsible for providing accessible responsive and integrated patient care at all times. The role collaborates with health care providers allied emergency service agencies and other community agencies. Clinical Service Leaders provide front line clinical leadership mentorship education evaluation and involvement in ERS initiatives and are responsible to monitor ERS system capacity perform day to day administration and lead specialized incident response.

The incumbent will exercise the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities work methods to be employed and action to be taken.

The incumbent will provide committed support and clinical care to diverse populations and communities with diverse backgrounds cultures identities values beliefs and traditions including Indigenous communities. This role will demonstrate commitment to the mission visions values goals objectives and policies of shared health.

Experience

• 3 years of experience practicing at the Primary Care Paramedic and / or Intermediate Care Paramedic level.
• 3 years of progressive experience in a clinical health-care setting including :

3 years of demonstrated experience in providing guidance and mentorship to colleagues.

Education (Degree / Diploma / Certificate)

Certification / Licensure / Registration

Qualifications and Skills

College of Paramedics of Manitoba Standards of Practice.
