Position : Foreman - Multifamily Builder
Hays are working with a leading multifamily builder in Calgary, Alberta, who are dedicated to delivering high-quality residential projects.
There team is committed to excellence, innovation, and growth, and they are looking for a skilled Foreman to join there exciting team.
They are seeking an experienced Foreman with a strong background in construction, ideally from a skilled trade (carpentry, electrician, plumbing, etc.
The successful candidate will oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
This role offers the opportunity for career growth, with the potential to advance into a Superintendent position.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Manage materials and equipment, ensuring they are used efficiently.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets standards.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on the job site.
- Train and mentor junior staff and apprentices.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience working on construction sites, preferably in multifamily or commercial projects.
- Background in a skilled trade such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or similar.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to safety and quality.
- Desire to grow into a Superintendent role.
