ABOUT THE ROLE

Amrize is recruiting a Millwright Apprentice to maintain, improve, and optimize the mechanical operations for our Aggregates division in Saskatoon SK. This is a permanent, full time, hourly opportunity.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

• Perform planned and breakdown maintenance on plant production and aggregate equipment, including motors, gears / drives, hydraulic / pneumatic systems, crushers, gearboxes, clutches, pumps, vibrating screens, and conveyors (fixed belt and portable hydraulic).
• Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections according to the scheduled plan to minimize breakdowns and ensure equipment reliability.
• Maintain and repair shop equipment, uphold housekeeping standards, and ensure a safe, clean work environment.
• Keep accurate paper and electronic records of work performed, parts used, costs, and complete detailed reports documenting problems and repairs.
• Adhere strictly to all safety, health, and environmental policies; proactively communicate and promote safety standards for self, coworkers, and the public.
• Respond urgently and effectively to breakdown events, balancing safety and product quality requirements at all times.
• Actively monitor and inspect mechanical equipment to prioritize preventative maintenance over reactive repairs.
• Collaborate effectively with operational staff, delivery teams, and managers to troubleshoot mechanical or process constraints and improve overall plant operations.
• Take ownership of actions and decisions, maintaining clear communication with management and contributing both independently and as a team member to achieve operational goals.
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Education Required : High School Diploma or equivalent.

Required Work Experience : Minimum one (1) years of heavy manufacturing / mining experience.

Required Training / Certifications : Willing to work towards Red Seal. Preference to dual ticketed
