Physiotherapy Assistant

Location : Kamloops, BC

Start date : Immediate

Status : Casual Part - time

Hours : 8 hrs / week

In this role you will :

• Provide assistance to supervising Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists for treatment of Senior Wellness residents
• Assist PT's / OT's in performing various components of the resident's treatment plan
• Perform various treatments as prescribed and directed by the supervising Physiotherapist
• May conduct exercise classes
• Set up, prepare, and maintain equipment, and clean up after resident's treatments (such as hot packs, ice, electrical modalities)
• Ensure that the gym and treatment area, if applicable, are safe and tidy
• Maintain regular ongoing communication with the PT / OT regarding any changes or concerns about a resident's status or treatment interventions
• Complete "Daily Treatment Records" as directed by the PT / OT
