Summary of Position : Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Dragline Maintenance Department.

Duties / Responsibilities :

Responsibilities include a wide range of activities including, but not limited to :

• Organizing, implementing and directing the activities of the Dragline Maintenance Department at the mine-site;
• Developing the budget and forecasts for all Dragline Maintenance expense and Capital spending;
• Managing an effective Dragline preventative maintenance program;
• Ensuring all activities in the department are in compliance with environment and safety legislation, regulations, policies and guidelines and standard mine operating procedures;
• Promoting a culture of continuous improvement in the department;
• Establishing a positive working environment by conducting and participating in activities that contribute to an effective working relationship with all employees;
• Promoting teamwork and employee development through effective communication and implementing and monitoring performance standards;
• Assuming other duties and / or responsibilities as required in response to changing circumstances and the economic and physical environment of the Mine or Company.
