The Transport Refrigeration (Reefer) Mechanic / Technician role performs technical tasks to aid in the assembly, installation, operation, maintenance and repair of variable speed and diesel driven cooling / heating systems, components and mechanical equipment on trucks, trailers and intermodal containers.

Training :

For junior technicians and mechanics, we have an option of sending team members to the USA for specialized classroom training at our school or have online courses, that are available too.

Main Responsibilities :

The Transport Refrigeration Technician will maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair truck / trailer refrigeration units, AC Equipment, container refrigeration units and Generator sets.

Additionally, the incumbent will :

Ensure all work completed meets or exceeds company standards

Be available for the on-call service rotation (Mobile technicians)

The following experience and skills would be an asset :

Red Seal Certification in the following area's, or ....

2 to 3 years experience in any of the following fields : transport refrigeration, automotive technician, electrical, AC / HVAC or Diesel Engine mechanic or technician.

Piping skills : sil-fos / silver soldering

Have your own tools

Valid Class 5 driver’s license

Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively

Excellent listening, written, and oral communication skills

Ability to work effectively as both a team player and an individual contributor

Ability to read wiring diagrams and diagnose electrical systems

This is a Full-time, Permanent position

Salary of $29.54 - $44.49 per hour ($61,443-$92,539 per year based on experience)

Additionally, our company offers a pension plan paying up to $4.93 / hr ($10,254 per year) for a level 3 or 4 Technician / Mechanic
