We are seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead and coach a team accountable for driving fill rate performance, achieve inventory budgets, and vendor execution across a diverse brand portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities

  • People Leadership & Team Development : Responsible for the day-to-day leadership and performance management of assigned purchasing team members.
  • Coach and develop purchasing team members to drive consistent execution and performance against fill rate, inventory, and service KPIs.
  • Set clear priorities, expectations, and performance standards; provide regular feedback and support continuous improvement.
  • Foster a collaborative, results-driven team culture aligned with Purity Life values and operational excellence.
  • Act as a role model for effective cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Customer Care.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Own fill rate performance across all brands, proactively identifying risks and leading cross-functional problem solving to sustain a minimum 95% fill rate.
  • Make informed recommendations and decisions on inventory positioning, vendor performance, and brand priorities, balancing service, working capital, and margin objectives.
  • Monitor inventory levels by Vendor (all warehouses) daily to ensure adherence to approved budgets.
  • Ensure timely and accurate order placement, confirmation, and freight coordination to support service levels and inventory objectives.
  • Ensure accurate inventory administration, including documentation, inter-warehouse transfers, and vendor inventory reconciliation.
  • Work closely with the sales team on new line first-order forecasts and promotional activity requirements.
  • Ensure communications concerning new lines / products activity, promotions, shortages, vendor broker issues, etc. are sent to the sales team and other departments as appropriate and in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders (Sales, Category Management, Warehouse, Accounts Payable) to ensure Purchasing initiatives align within the larger company structure, and to advocate for Purchasing needs.
  • Participate in regular business reviews with key vendors and brokers, driving accountability against agreed performance, forecasts, and financial targets.
  • You will be an active and integral part of all Purity Life tradeshows and offsite meetings, some requiring overnight travel.
  • Duties may be added to and subject to change as required.
  • Job Requirements

  • Degree, diploma, or equivalent professional experience, with 10+ years in purchasing, supply chain, or inventory management, including demonstrated people leadership responsibility.
  • Strong proficiency with Office 365 tools, including Excel, to support analysis, reporting, and decision-making. Ability to adapt to new technology quickly.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to influence, collaborate, and lead across a diverse stakeholder group.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound, data-informed decisions balancing service levels, working capital, and margin objectives.
  • This is an in-office position based in Acton, Ontario.

    Grade 10 - Salary range $88,725 - $104,475

    This position is a replacement of an existing position.
