Job Title: Intermediate Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Accountant who will prepare monthly journals with relevant supporting working papers, conduct variance analysis for multiple entities, run various reports to support the accounting team, and prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journals with relevant supporting working papers (30%).
• Perform monthly SG&A and P&L variance analysis for multiple entities (30%).
• Run various reports from the accounting system to support the team (10%).
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations (25%).
• Handle other tasks as required (5%).

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of full cycle accounting experience including balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in US GAAP or IFRS, with a preference for US GAAP.
• Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables, X and V lookups, filtering large data sets, and using data sets for analytics.
• CPA designation or in the process of obtaining it.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Big 4 or mid-size public practice experience is preferred.
• Experience in publicly traded companies and larger complex companies with multiple entities is advantageous.
• Educational background from institutions like SFU, BCIT, or UBC is a plus.

This is a Permanent position based out of Burnaby, BC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
