The Department of Geography and Environment, housed in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS) and Faculty of Natural and Applied Science (FNAS) of Trinity Western University, invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the rank of assistant professor beginning January 1, 2024. The successful applicant will be able to teach in established TWU undergraduate degree programs in Geography and Environmental Studies and will have an ongoing research program in her / his field. The ideal candidate should be able to teach from a multidisciplinary physical geography perspective, including Geomorphology, Geology, Soils, Climatology, Environmental Chemistry, and will be willing to develop courses in fields such as hydrology, biogeography, and agroecology. Experience instructing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is preferred. The successful applicant may also be required to teach introductory courses in Geography and Environmental Studies. The desired candidate will have completed or be near completion of a PhD in a related field and will be encouraged to develop a research program.
