MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Project Manager for a growing, innovative design-build construction company specializing in complex timber structures. Our client is recognized internationally for delivering high-quality projects that integrate wood with steel, glass, and concrete across North America.
The successful Project Manager will lead a variety of projects while collaborating closely with internal engineering, manufacturing, and construction teams. You will manage projects from award to completion, ensuring delivery aligns with safety, quality, budget, and schedule objectives. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of project delivery while working within a collaborative and dynamic team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead projects from award through completion
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and resources
- Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Prepare and manage RFQs, purchase orders, and subcontracts
- Track project progress and provide regular reporting
- Manage change orders, delays, and ensure cost recovery
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and project requirements
- Provide quality assurance oversight and occasional site support
Requirements:
- 3+ years of construction project management experience
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project or similar)
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and project delivery
Preferred:
- Post-secondary education in construction management, engineering, or related field
- PMP designation (or in progress)
- Experience managing projects valued at $5M+
Some travel will be required for site visits.
