Roles & Responsibilities

Training Priorities
o Reading CMM booklet & Sales Process
o Understanding monument “jargon” and background to be able to effectively educate customers on the process
o How to sell OUR type of monuments – highly personalized & custom
o Effectively understanding the regulations of cemeteries
o Properly using our price lists to record quotes according to colour, size, etc.
o Knowing the “extra costs” and being able to add them effectively onto order forms
o Responding to emails in a timely manner, printing off new orders or contacting Cam in case there are questions that need to be answered that you are unsure of
o Inputting new orders and moving them through our tracking software
o Training with Cam & Katie to be able to effectively design monuments for families
o Consulting families about what they can & cannot do on monuments and educating them on why

o Completing Certified Master Memorialist Booklet & taking notes
o Understanding our sales process
o Understanding what separates us as a team apart from other businesses
o Understanding how to effectively sell high quality & customized monuments
o Understanding how to properly deal with a grieving family and make an impact on their grieving process through clear communication & creating a lasting memorial
o Completing all training videos & taking notes
o Selling your first monument and being able to walk the family through the process & regulations
o Correctly providing quotes to retail customers for different monuments
o Providing the correct information when providing quotes
o Accurately using our price book to input information to get the correct quotes
o Understanding when to use each supplier (Domestic vs. Import)
o Understanding extra costs and how to add them to quotes
o Answering customers questions via email
o Professionally & structurally answering emails
o Contacting Cam to get back to emails if you cannot answer them
o Inputting new orders into GORDE
o Updating orders as they move along the process in GORDE
o Being able to understand the GORDE system so you can effectively update customers on where their orders are at
o Going through training with Katie & Cam on monument design rules
o Knowing the basic rules to monument design
o Understanding how to send proofs
o Understanding what you can and cannot do when designing a monument with a family and being able to effectively communicate it with them
o Passing the Certified Master Memorialist test taken in Stanstead Quebec
o You must first be able to complete all of the above, then study for the test
o Commission will be discussed upon taking the test when available (typically once a year)

Job Title : Office Manager
Main purpose of job :
Greeting families, dealing with day-to-day office organization tasks through software, dealing with sales & becoming proficient in monument consulting.

Owner
Location :
Head Office – Forest City Memorials
Sales Office – Imperial City Memorials
Salary :
Competitive office salary with lots of room to grow. Possible commission-based sales opportunity upon completion of training.
Main Tasks of job :
1. Educating, supporting & communicating with families while handling in-person and online sales
2. Responding to emails in a timely manner
3. Providing quotes for the retail families
4. Monument design & consulting
5. Organizing retail monument orders through our online tracking software
Licenses, registrations and qualifications :
First Aid & CPR, WHMIS, Tech Savvy, organized, preferred but not needed sales experience
