Job Description

What is the opportunity? The Chief Data Office is seeking a dynamic leader responsible for global oversight and reach of the start-up and Fintech community in the world of AI and Technology. This role will be critical in driving global technology innovation by developing strategies that will provide sustainable solutions to RBC businesses.This role will support business unit data strategies by serving as a proactive business partner, interfacing with senior leadership on strategies, plans, and opportunities for the enterprise. What you will do?

  • Build tentacles into the start-up and Fintech community in the world of AI and Technology.
  • Gain global knowledge of start-up and Fintech capabilities.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for emerging global technologies.
  • Focus on identifying frontier, game changing capabilities to serve LOB business ambitions.
  • Direct delivery of mid / large CAO sponsored and enterprise transformational initiatives impacting all LOB Groups.
  • Partner with data teams across all LOBs to understand and contribute to defining business ambitions.
  • Serve as the Chief Data office representative for Innovation.
  • Set direction for Strategic Initiatives and transformation intended to drive game changing business capabilities.
  • Deliver POC / POVs of new data capabilities in partnership with businesses and alongside horizontal data teams.

What you need to succeed? Must have :

  • Exceptional global awareness of emerging technical capabilities
  • Experience in delivering technology solutions into production
  • Strong data management and analytics skills and experience executing and implementing initiatives
  • Experience in building strong teams and driving collaboration and execution of initiatives
  • Experience in the application of artificial intelligence to deliver data-related products and solutions
  • Strong ability and proven experience in building and developing a high performing team / culture, and a strong inclination for continuous learning and growth
  • Ability to influence senior executives and deliver against organizational goals.
