About the Role
Type of position : Regular.
Responsibilities
- Work with a team of skilled engineers, designers and project support staff under the supervision of a senior engineer.
- Review or analyze PFDs, P&IDs, technical specifications and evaluations; design and configure process parameters.
- Develop process heat and material balances using simulation software such as Bilmat, METSIM or HSC Chemistry, or size comminution equipment with software such as Bruno and JKSimMet.
- Participate in the selection, sizing and costing of process equipment for new technology implementation.
- Provide support for the preparation of proposals, studies and technical evaluation reports.
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in mineral processing or metallurgy, or in chemical engineering (with courses or projects in mineral processing or extractive metallurgy).0 to 5 years of relevant experience.Eligibility to apply for registration as a professional engineer in Canada.Occasional international and domestic travel (at least 30% of the time).Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and solid presentation skills.Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and / or clients in English‑speaking Canadian provinces and internationally.Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and / or clients in Québec.Asset : Familiarity or experience with METSIM.Asset : Process simulation and / or design experience.Benefits
