Key responsibilities :
Patrol Hospital Grounds : Conduct regular rounds of hospital premises, including parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and exits, to ensure the safety and security of the site.Monitor Surveillance Systems : Operate security cameras and alarm systems, ensuring any suspicious activity is reported immediately to the appropriate authorities.Access Control : Monitor and control entry points to the hospital, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed access to restricted areas.Respond to Emergencies : Act quickly in emergency situations, such as medical emergencies, fire alarms, or security threats. Assist hospital staff as needed during crises and evacuations.Provide Customer Service : Greet and assist visitors, patients, and hospital staff. Provide directions and ensure that guests adhere to hospital policies and procedures.Conflict Resolution : De-escalate tense situations, resolve conflicts, and ensure that all interactions are handled calmly and professionally.Report Writing : Document daily activities, incidents, or accidents accurately. Complete reports on incidents, breaches, and security concerns.Collaboration with Hospital Staff : Work closely with hospital staff and local law enforcement to provide a coordinated security effort and ensure the safety of all parties involved.Enforce Hospital Policies : Ensure that hospital policies, including visitor and patient protocols, are followed. Valid Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector CheckValid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a CSA-approved vendor)Valid Class 5 Driver License & must be willing to take shifts at sites within a reasonable driving distance.English (oral and written) fluency is a mustPrevious experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF / MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the positionPlease be aware : The UoF / MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position / availabilityWhy choose Paladin?
