Site Superintendent - Vancouver, BC
Adecco’s client is seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Construction Site Superintendent to oversee all aspects of their construction projects. As a site superintendent, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction work is completed safely, efficiently, and within budget, while adhering to project plans and specifications. You will also be responsible for managing and coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure that the project is completed on time and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
Site Superintendent Responsibilities Are :
Oversee all aspects of the construction project, from pre-construction planning through project completion.
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget.
Communicate regularly with project stakeholders to provide project updates and to address any issues or concerns.
Monitor and enforce compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
Manage and coordinate the activities of subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure that the project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify issues, and make necessary adjustments to ensure project success.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records, including daily reports, change orders, and progress reports.
Manage the procurement and delivery of all materials and equipment required for the project.
Manage and coordinate the commissioning and closeout of the project.
Site Superintendent Qualifications Are :
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
At least 10 years of experience in commercial construction, with a strong focus on site management and supervision on projects valuing in the $50 million to $100 million range
Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team of subcontractors and site personnel.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
