Position Overview
We are looking to recruit a Product Development Manager in Edmonton, Alberta to work with the UX Optimization team. The role is full‑time (37.5 hours per week) and hybrid. You will lead a group of Product Specialists driving usability and conversion improvements, guide team growth, and ensure projects deliver measurable business impact.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Product Specialists working to improve product questionnaires that enable users to customize legal documents without a lawyer.
- Develop innovative strategies for increasing user engagement, retention, and overall product performance.
- Plan, prioritize, and manage quarterly project plans, balancing usability improvements and conversion optimisation goals.
- Train, coach, and mentor team members to foster a high‑performance, growth‑oriented culture.
- Collaborate with Legal, Design, Development, Revenue Operations and QA departments to strategise conversion optimisation projects.
- Ensure projects move smoothly through all phases of the product development process.
- Proactively identify and remove blockers to keep projects on track and teams productive.
- Adjust project plans to align with evolving business needs and priorities.
- Use data analysis and user insights to identify opportunities for product refinement and improve key performance indicators.
- Evaluate the viability of potential projects, services and features.
- Support team growth by preparing hiring requests, interviewing and onboarding new hires.
- Drive team workflow improvements and document best practices.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Post‑secondary education in Communications, Writing, Business, Marketing, Library Information Science, Cognitive Psychology, Design, Law or other relevant fields.Proven experience successfully leading and developing teams.Ability to provide and receive clear and effective coaching and feedback.Ability to successfully manage complex projects and deliver in alignment with key performance indicators.Demonstrated ability to adapt to an evolving business environment, balancing short‑term challenges with a strategic focus on long‑term growth.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to communicate complicated information in a succinct way that all stakeholders can understand.Highly organised, with strong attention to detail.Ability to recognise potential opportunities and innovative concepts.Understanding of consumer psychology, online marketing and conversion optimisation.Quality decision making and sound judgement.Solid grasp of User Experience (UX) writing.Why You Should Join The LawDepot Team
