Position : Finance Systems and Treasury Analyst

Based in the Jonas Head Office in Markham, ON, the Finance Systems and Treasury Analyst will report directly to the Financial Controller. This unique role plays a pivotal part in supporting PYXiS through active involvement in managing accounting and financial systems, leading the finance integration process for new acquisitions, and overseeing the treasury function. The incumbent collaborates closely with internal teams and stakeholders to identify primary needs and goals, devising tailored solutions to meet these objectives. Their tasks range from configuring systems and performing data migration to overseeing the implementation of workflow processes, assisting with user access and permissions, and conducting ongoing troubleshooting. The successful candidate will be a highly skilled verbal and written communicator, demonstrating the confidence and professionalism required to engage with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

As an important member of the PYXiS Finance team, you will :

  • Assume a key role as a super user managing all accounting and financial systems and provide essential training and support to the team in resolving system-related issues, ensuring seamless operations with proficiency and expertise
  • Conduct thorough analyses of data and financial systems processes, identifying opportunities for enhancement, and communicate recommendations to management
  • Lead initiatives within the finance area to achieve continuous improvement, contributing to overall business success
  • Take charge of managing bank accounts and ensure timely statutory tax payments
  • Play an active role in daily treasury activities, including overseeing banking permissions
  • Lead all new acquisition integrations through liaising with the M&A team and Company Owners
  • Refine and update the existing integration process to ensure effective and efficient evolution
  • Support the transition of company financial tasks into the Finance Team post integration
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses and contribute to projects as requested by the Financial Controller

JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Attained a Business / Finance degree (i.e. BBA, BComm, etc.) with preference given to those with relevant further study / designations (i.e. MBA, CPA, etc.)
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in finance systems and / or treasury functions
  • Excellent technical learning, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to learn new concepts and tasks quickly, work under pressure, and meet deadline requirements in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Effective administrative and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, adjust, and respond professionally to changing requirements and ad-hoc issues
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal savviness skills with a proven ability to collaborate with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
  • Possesses strong leadership / command skills and demonstrates organizational agility
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) is an asset
  • Practical knowledge of IFRS is an asset
