Fuze HR is partnering with a leading manufacturer and service provider in the commercial and industrial solutions sector. Our client is known for delivering innovative and high-quality systems across North America, with a strong focus on safety, performance, and customer satisfaction.

We are currently seeking an experienced Controller to join their growing Canadian operations. This role offers the opportunity to play a key leadership part within a global organization while overseeing the finance and accounting functions across multiple business units.

The Controller will report directly to the VP of Finance (U.S.-based) and act as a trusted financial advisor to the regional leadership team, ensuring strong financial controls, accurate reporting, and strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and Develop the Finance Team : Manage and mentor team members across Billing, AR, AP, Payroll, and General Ledger functions to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Financial Planning & Analysis : Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to provide actionable insights and drive operational performance.
• Month-End and Year-End Close : Ensure timely and accurate completion of all financial statements, including balance sheets, income, and cash flow statements.
• Compliance & Internal Controls : Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, tax laws, and other regulatory requirements.
• Financial Reporting : Prepare and present financial results to regional and global leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Strategic Partnership : Collaborate with senior leaders to provide financial insights that support growth strategies, cost control, and investment decisions.
• Audit & Tax Coordination : Manage external audits, liaise with auditors, and oversee all tax-related matters.
• Working Capital & Treasury : Monitor key metrics (DSO, DPO, cash flow) and ensure optimal treasury management.
• Process Improvement : Drive automation and ERP optimization initiatives to streamline financial workflows.
