Team Lead Ski Patrol

Overview

Job Title : Team Lead Ski Patrol (Ski Patrol team member role). Location : Whistler, BC, Canada. Company : Whistler Blackcomb. Shift Type : Winter Seasonal 2025 / 2026. Employment Type : Winter Seasonal.

Service is the foundation of everything we stand for at Vail Resorts and our Ski Patrol team focuses on promoting the safety and security of staff and guests on the mountain. Patrol members are alert and dependable professionals who remain calm in crises and ensure guest safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and enforce all applicable laws, policies, and procedures to ensure guest safety.
• Maintain safety and operation of trails through preventative measures such as avalanche mitigation, tree and limb removal, and end-of-day sweeps to ensure all guests have exited.
• Establish, coordinate, and execute emergency and hazard response plans such as evacuations and search and rescue protocols.
• Assist and provide care to injured guests and workers, including transport via toboggan or air lift support when necessary.
• Facilitate training, mentorship, and support of patrol members.
• Assist patrol leadership in daily operations including organizing and assigning responsibilities, incident investigations, and hiring activities.
• Manage, oversee, and assign responsibilities to volunteers.
• Other duties as assigned.
