Position Description

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and / or Client office at a minimum 3 days per week - subject to change at any time.

The candidate should bring deep knowledge in banking, payments, and cloud transformation, demonstrated through successful delivery of ISO 20022-compliant APIs and fraud detection integrations on AWS. Given the complexity of integrating on-prem and cloud systems, as well as ensuring security and regulatory compliance, the role demands a highly skilled resource with both technical depth and domain expertise.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Key Responsibilities :

• .    Lead cloud migration engagements, ensuring successful transition of applications from on-prem to AWS
• .    Manage project timelines, deliverables, and dependencies across multiple teams
• .    Oversee integration with upstream and downstream systems, including third-party application
• .    Ensure compliance with cloud governance, resiliency, and risk management frameworks.
• .    Drive delivery excellence by applying Agile practices and continuous improvement principle
• .    Partner with client architects and delivery teams to define cloud migration strategies, including re-hosting, re-platforming, and re-architecting.
• .    Provide technical leadership across multiple workstreams, including infrastructure, application, and data modernization.
• .    Work closely with development teams to establish best practices for serverless, containerized, and microservices-based applications.
• .    Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure robust CI / CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and environment automation.
• .    Perform architecture reviews, identify optimization opportunities, and recommend AWS-native solutions to enhance scalability and cost efficiency.
• .    Support technical due diligence, cost modeling, and proposal development for new cloud opportunities.
• .    Mentor development and operations teams in AWS architecture principles and cloud best practices.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Proven experience managing large-scale AWS programs or cloud transformation initiatives.
