Overview
Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Procurement, you will be part of a motivated team that supports each other to exceed expectations. You will manage strategic procurement, supplier relationships, compliance, cost optimisation, and operational performance, while acting as a change agent to improve processes.
Your challenges
- Lead requirements, specifications, standards, and volume needs for goods and services.
- Prepare requests for quotations and develop procurement strategies.
- Create communication plans, lead implementation and establish agreements.
- Negotiate with internal and external partners/suppliers to reduce procurement costs.
- Ensure consistent achievement of net value and resolve operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies.
- Mentor and train buyers and strategic suppliers.
- Act as a change agent to deliver optimal value to operations.
- Define, measure, and improve performance indicators: on‑time delivery, order accuracy, return/claim rates, cost reductions, and penalties.
- Manage disputes and escalations with suppliers; implement corrective actions and process improvements.

Your profile
- Bilingual French and English (Required for all Corporate Positions).
- University degree in business, engineering, or any other field related to supply chain management.
- At least 10 years of experience, including direct experience in pulp and paper mills or operations in a related field.
- Experience in procurement and inventory management, preferably in an SAP environment.
- 5 to 7 years of experience as a strategic procurement manager (or equivalent), preferably in the pulp and paper or process industry.
