About the Opportunity

Our client is a well-established public accounting firm in Richmond Hill offering Assurance, Accounting, Tax, and Advisory services to a diverse client base across Canada and the U.S.

As part of continued growth within their Assurance division , they are seeking an experienced Assurance Manager to lead client engagements, support quality initiatives, and mentor high-performing teams.

This role is well suited for a Manager in public accounting who enjoys technical leadership, client interaction, and people development , and is looking for long-term growth within a collaborative firm.

The Role

As Assurance Manager , you will oversee multiple audit and assurance engagements from planning through completion, ensuring high-quality service delivery and compliance with professional standards.

You'll work closely with Partners while maintaining strong ownership of client relationships and supporting firm-wide quality and methodology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple audit and assurance engagements from planning to completion
• Ensure compliance with professional standards and firm methodology
• Resolve complex accounting and auditing matters
• Review financial statements and assurance deliverables for accuracy and quality
• Stay current on accounting standards, regulatory changes, and industry trends
• Manage multiple concurrent engagements, deadlines, and budgets
• Mentor and coach junior staff on technical and procedural matters
• Liaise directly with clients to clarify accounting issues and provide engagement updates
• Support the development and improvement of audit tools, templates, and methodologies
• Assist with staff performance evaluations and professional development planning
