The Professional Women’s Hockey League is seeking an experienced and passionate individual for the Head Equipment Manager Position for the Ottawa Charge. The Head Equipment Manager reports to General Manager and is primarily responsible for the procurement, distribution, inventory, and maintenance of Ottawa Charge athletic equipment and apparel for athletes, coaches, and staff.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversees daily equipment preparations and set up for practices and games
- Purchases, distributes, stores, and maintains accountability of all athletic equipment
- Launders uniforms, practice gear, towels, and other materials used daily
- Oversees locker room breakdown for home / visiting teams
- Manages all equipment-related items for team practices and games
- Manages Assistant Equipment Manager and Game Day equipment helpers
- Oversees packing of equipment for team travel
- Ensures that all uniforms and related equipment are maintained in a clean and serviceable condition
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties, including skate sharpening, skate riveting, sewing, equipment repair
- Other Duties as assigned
Work Experience Requirements
At least five years of relevant ice hockey equipment experienceCollegiate / International / Professional ice hockey equipment experience requiredBachelor’s Degree preferredSkills
