This is a project-based role. Reporting to Stakeholder & Community Engagement Manager, the Internal Communications and Employee Engagement Lead will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a communications program developed around.

This is a project-based role supporting a Megaproject in Downtown Toronto and will be a maternity coverage contract.

What you will be working on :

  • Building on and helping continually improve an existing internal communications strategy, inclusive of employee events, team building and opportunities to give back to the community.
  • Manage internal communications tactics such as our weekly Director's Messages, virtual town hall series and content for our intranet, driving a consistent schedule of fresh and compelling news for our team.
  • Align internal communications with emerging topics, progress and milestones reached on site.
  • Support our Management team with initiatives and campaigns ranging from health and safety awareness to ED&I.
  • Work with our Management team to find new and creative ways to build employee engagement and support our Values and Culture.
  • Lead the development of year-in-review reports that communicate our team's achievements across a range of focus areas.
  • Lead the planning and execution of employee events, acting as the key contact for outside vendors and ensuring we work within allocated budgets.
  • Continually monitor and evaluate the impact of internal communications and employee engagement strategies and implement lessons learned.

What we are looking for :

  • 5+ years experience in internal communications and / or employee engagement.
  • Passionate about using your energy and skills to connect and engage employees in our busy project environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute internal communications plans tailored to the desired objective and audience within agreed timeframes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to explain complex ideas or issues in a clear and concise manner.
  • Aptitude for the creation of diverse forms of content and creative materials (presentations, posters, videos).
  • A self-starter capable of working independently and identifying new opportunities in our dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently, particularly in narrow timeframes, and prioritize deliverables.
  • Digital and social media savvy.
