Responsibilities
- Start‑up, operation (fill fryer with oil, start spiral freezer, set up bagger and all packaging machines), routine monitoring and inspection, and shutdown of process equipment at end of shift.
- Asset Maintenance Supervisor as required.
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance tasks on plant equipment.
- Ability to retain information, learner attitude and possess a strong work ethic.
- Working knowledge in the use of hand tools.
- Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required tasks.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Carry out routine maintenance of conveyors and conveyor components.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
Qualifications / Skills
Minimum 2 years of experience in a maintenance or industrial setting, preferably in food processing or manufacturing.High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or trade school training in mechanics, electrical, or industrial maintenance is an asset.Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.Basic knowledge of general facility maintenance.Familiarity with hand and power tools, as well as material handling equipment.Strong work ethic with a learner mindset and ability to retain technical information.Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Commitment to workplace safety and ability to follow company safety protocols.Understanding of preventative maintenance procedures and equipment manuals.Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver tools and equipment as required.Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, as needed.Benefits
