Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including : experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. About the role
Our Platform Engineering team supports the Enterprise Data and AI Platform at Intact, which consists of AWS cloud service, Snowflake, Databricks as well as on-premise Kubernetes infrastructure. The Platform DevOps will contribute to day-to-day operations on infrastructure management, security, monitoring, and alerting. What you'll do here :
Manage and maintain the Enterprise Data and AI Platform across AWS and on-prem infrastructure, as well as Snowflake and Databricks.
Use AWS services (S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, VPC, AWS Backup, SageMaker) to optimize and secure our cloud environment.
Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
Management the platform of Databricks and Snowflake in a multiple tenants workspaces level.
Build and maintain CI / CD pipelines using Gitlab, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver scalable, secure solutions.
Provide operational support and issue resolution.
Enable frequent, reliable deployments in partnership with software developers.
Promote DevOps best practices across teams.
Implement observability and define KPIs for our platforms and services.
Embed security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
Contribute to proof-of-concept projects.
Implement high-availability and resilience, including disaster recovery and backups.
Follow Agile / Scrum processes to deliver high-quality solutions on time.
What you bring to the table :
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent experience.
5–8 years of experience, including DevOps in AWS cloud environments.
3 + years Databricks platform administration experience is required.
5+ years of AWS experience with strong knowledge of S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, VPC, and AWS Backup. SageMaker is a strong asset.
Hands-on expertise experience with Terraform, GitHub, Gitlab GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
Proficiency in Python.
Strong networking skills including VPCs, load balancers, and firewalls.
Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker is an asset
