Overview

The Cloud Network Engineer is responsible for deploying and maintaining secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud networking solutions. This role plays a key part in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and security of cloud-based infrastructure. The engineer collaborates closely with cross-functional IT teams to integrate cloud networking with existing systems and applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards. Continuous learning and staying current with emerging cloud networking technologies are crucial for driving innovation and operational excellence. Additionally, this role involves continuous improvement by staying updated with the latest cloud networking technologies and best practices.

What will you do?

Design, Deploy and Maintain On-Premise, Microsoft Azure and AWS network infrastructure

• Construct and engineer networking solutions based on architectural designs.
• Recommend changes to services within the direct scope of operations and the Cloud and Platform Operations team.
• Work closely with teams, such as IT Operations, Cloud Centre of Excellence, Architecture, and Security, to ensure the efficient and secure implementation of cloud network services.
• Work autonomously in setting objectives based on direction from a lead, manager, or director.
• Supporting and maintaining Azure and AWS network infrastructure
• Utilize Terraform code to deploy all Azure and AWS networking resources
• Strong knowledge of building and supporting CI / CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Automation, deployment, management, and maintenance of Azure and Aws cloud-based networking.
• Ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability of Azure and AWS networking infrastructure.
• Establish and create, logging, monitoring metrics, and configuration of production systems using Dynatrace and other native Aws and Azure cloud services.
• Designing and administering virtual network components in the cloud infrastructure.
• Document all diagrams, policies, and procedures for newly deployed systems and review yearly.

What will you need to succeed in this role?

Technical Expertise

Proficiency in on-prem, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Networking Knowledge

Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP / IP, DNS, VPN).

Security Skills

Problem-Solving

Communication

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Project Management

Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
