THE ROLE
Our Tier 1 automotive manufacturing client in Simcoe is seeking a Stamping Group Leader to provide hands-on leadership and shift supervision within their Stamping Production department.
This role goes beyond monitoring production output. The successful candidate will have true people leadership experience , including direct supervision, performance management, and day-to-day accountability for team members on the floor.
You will lead production teams across a rotating three-shift schedule (Days, Afternoons, Midnights) while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and delivery targets are consistently achieved.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide direct supervision to stamping production teams during assigned shiftsManage daily production requirements, staffing levels, and workflow to meet operational targetsReview production schedules and adjust priorities to ensure delivery commitments are metAddress operational, quality, and minor maintenance issues to minimize downtimeAssign team members based on skill level, experience, and production needsKEY EXPECTATIONS
Managing production workflow and daily staffing requirementsDirect supervision of hourly team membersPerformance management, including coaching, corrective action, and disciplinary processesReviewing and approving employee time and payroll informationMentoring and developing employees to improve performance and engagementREQUIREMENTS
Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience as a team leader or supervisorSolid understanding of stamping operations, materials, and manufacturing processesAutomotive manufacturing experience is strongly preferredStrong technical aptitude with mechanical and manufacturing processesProficient computer skills and experience using production or reporting systemsAbility to make sound decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentFlexible and reliable, with the ability to work a rotating three-shift schedule#INDSTRIVEON
