Part-time Education Assistant

Northern Gateway Public Schools invites applications fora Part-time (0.8 FTE) Education AssistantatGateway Academy-Whitecourt Campus Whitecourt AB.

Successful candidate responsibilities:

• Working with students one-on-one & in small groups in an outreach classroom setting

• Educational Assistant Certificate (desirable)

• Establish rapport and maintain effective working relationships with children parents and staff
• Work collaboratively and co-operatively with teacher and other educational assistants in the classroom/school
• Understand and carry out oral and written direction
• Work independently with minimal instruction
• Demonstrate effectiveorganizational and communication skills
• Respect confidentiality
• Practice professionalism with all students staff administration parents and public
• Be aware of NGPS policies and administrative procedures

• 6.5 hours per day Monday to Thursday
