Report Engineer

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document reporting requirements.

• Design, build, and optimize Power BI dashboards, datasets, and paginated reports.

• Develop data models using best practices aligned with performance and usability standards.

• Use Azure Synapse Analytics (SQL pools, pipelines) to support data ingestion, transformation, and analysis.

• Write and optimize SQL queries and transformations for reporting purposes.

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality across all BI deliverables.

• Implement Row?Level Security (RLS) and follow governance standards for data access.

• Troubleshoot report issues and provide enhancements to existing BI solutions.

• Document data flows, logic, models, and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.

What you must have:

• Strong hands on experience developing Power BI dashboards, datasets, and DAX calculations.

• Proficiency in Power Query (M), data modeling, and report performance optimization.

• Intermediate-level experience with Azure Synapse Analytics (SQL pools, pipelines, transformations).

• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with data warehousing concepts (ETL/ELT, dimensional modeling).

• Experience pulling data from multiple sources (databases, APIs, cloud storage, files, etc.).

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with technical and non?technical teams.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Azure Data Factory or Databricks.

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for BI assets (Git, DevOps).

• Familiarity with other BI tools (Tableau, Looker, MicroStrategy).

• Azure or Power BI certifications.

• Experience with enterprise data governance and security best practices.

Salary/Rate Range :$50.00 -$55.00/ hour
