We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking self-starter who wants to make a lasting impact on our organization and community as an IT Data Analyst!

As a member of the Information Technology Team, you will be committed to the guiding values of the Town of Innisfil’s Strategic Plan 2030 and will be responsible for data analysis, report generation, aggregation of data, predictive modeling and design of dashboards for all Town departments, as well as :

  • Designing reporting systems around identified business needs and goals in consultation with key departmental stakeholders; managing data analysis and usage requirements, focusing on data and integration-intensive initiatives.
  • Developing and supporting corporate data quality assessment, data modeling methodologies, data integration best practices, process models and data flows.
  • Performing the planning, designing, developing and deploying new data warehouses / BI initiatives, and enhancements following best practices for data visualization and content development.
  • Recommending best practices for the management and handling of data, and contributing to advancing and enhancing data governance.
  • Performing statistical analysis of large data sets to better understand trends, relationships between variables, and to formulate predictive insights and modeling to support business decision making.

Job Requirements

The preferred candidate holds the following :

  • Three (3) year college diploma in Computer Science, Information Management or related field with specialization in data analysis / data management.
  • Two (2) to three (3) years of relevant data and analytics experience.
  • Thorough understanding database and analytical tools such as MS Excel, SQL, SQL Reporting Services, R, Power BI and Python.
  • Valid Class “G” Driver’s License and reliable vehicle for use on corporate business and to attend evening and / or weekend meetings or other events; and to respond to major emergencies as required.
