Position Overview The Parks Department has an immediate vacancy for three (3) regular full-time Crew Lead, Park Operations. This is routine supervisory work involving the supervision of a group of subordinates engaged in the day-to-day operations and maintenance of parks, open spaces, landscape areas, turf and sports fields. The incumbent is a working supervisor and drives a light truck, with or without trailer, to transport crew, equipment and materials used in the work. Duties are performed according to a predetermined schedule and to established methods and practices. Work performance is reviewed by a superior in terms of effective supervisory services rendered.
Examples of work include :
Qualifications Completion of Grade 12, supplemented by training or education in horticulture, turf management or recreation management, with considerable experience in park operations including some supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. A valid BC Class 5 Drivers License is required.
