We are currently looking for a qualified Lead, Market Access to join the Lundbeck Canada Market Access team. This position is a 1 year contract, full-time, located at our Ville Saint-Laurent head-office.

Your Position

The Lead, Market Access will develop market access and health economic strategies and plans to support the reimbursement of new and existing products with various public and private payers. You will additionally support pricing and reimbursement negotiations with federal, provincial, and private payers. This position reports to the Vice President, Market Access & Public Affairs.

Pricing and Reimbursement Strategy (70%)

  • Develop market access and health economics strategies in collaboration with the field market access team to gain / maintain / optimize the reimbursement for new and existing products.
  • Assume the role of market access lead on each of the product brand teams assigned to you and collaborate closely with the brand cross-functional team towards the effective communication of the reimbursement strategy.
  • Source and analyze accurate and reliable data to use in negotiations with payers to optimize reimbursement and renewal of listing proposals.
  • Lead the development and adaptation of health economic models and budget impact analyses required for submissions to payers with the support of external vendors.
  • Liaise & collaborate with the global team for the adaptation of health economic model to support the reimbursement strategy along with value dossier and submissions to payers.
  • Work with the Market Access and pricing Manager to develop and implement annual pricing optimization plans for assigned portfolio in line with federal and provincial pricing guidelines.
  • Oversee and monitor PLA rebates invoicing and reconciliation process for assigned portfolio.

Payers and Stakeholders Relations (30%)

  • Work with field market access team and medical advisors to develop engagement plans with federal / provincial and private stakeholders aligned with reimbursement objectives.
  • Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Life Sciences or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar position or commercial functions in the Canadian pharmaceutical or health care industry; experience in market access would be an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience in designing Budget Impact model(s) and Pharmacoeconomics (an asset)
  • Good knowledge of Canadian pharmaceutical reimbursement and pricing environment, policies and trends and experience in obtaining public and / or private reimbursement.
  • Ability to manage internal and external resources to bring complex pricing and reimbursement application projects to fruition.
  • Strategic thinker with ability to formulate and develop strategies that results in action and to collaborate and communicate effectively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Bilingualism French / English required (frequent communication with Global Headquarters and employees in the rest of Canada).
