Description de posteWe are currently looking a Maintenance Supervisor at our Bickerdike Pier, Port of Montreal. Reporting to the General Manager, Montreal Operations, the Maintenance Supervisor plans the servicing and maintenance of the entire fleet of containers, container chassis, and trailers. Tasks and responsibilitiesSupervise the inspection and repair of containers, chassis and trailers of the entire fleet. Represent Oceanex as a technical liaison with contractors and sub-contractors.Purchase, negotiate and distribute and report spare parts.Analyze and approve all repair invoices against work order.Control all purchases of spare parts and services using the purchasing system currently in effect.Examine and recommend to other terminals repairs or return equipment due for inspections.Prepare the annual maintenance budget.Supervise fabrication of new equipment and container changes to meet customers' special requests.Ensure that all temperature settings of reefer equipments are adequate and functional.Be available to work a few hours every other Saturday.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsCollege degree in a technical program or equivalent combination of experience and education.Minimum of 5 years of experience in trailer or container repairs and maintenance environment.Knowledge of welding.Computer literate.Refrigeration experience in maintaining and servicing refrigerated containers, an asset.Bilingualism (English and French). SkillsGood organizational and communication skills.Good analytical skills.Negotiation skills.Ability to manage a budget.Strong proficiency in contract management.
