Description de posteCommit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development. Input to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring. Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees. A degree in civil or environmental engineering, geology, hydrogeology or environmental science, preferably at the master’s level Licensed to practice as a professional engineer or geoscientist or eligible to be licensed within 6 months. Experience with a range of client types preferred (., federal government departments, private industrial clients, municipalities, first nations) Proven Project Management experience A minimum of 15 years’ relevant work experience Valid driver’s license Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining excellent client relationships Proficient in the completion of one or more of : groundwater resource evaluation, protection and management phased site assessments solid understanding of contaminant fate and transport in the subsurface and the development of conceptual site model remedial options analysis and evaluation remedial action plan development and / or design preparation of detailed designs, cost estimates and tender packages for remediation projects design and implementation of compliance monitoring plans Demonstrated track record of successfully managing environmental projects Demonstrated track record of successfully mentoring and developing more junior staff Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation, codes and standards Strong report writing, communication, organization and interpersonal skills Achievement : do the work to hit the target; Continuous Development : always learning; always adapting; always growing; Creativity : discover new possibilities; Courage : do the things that matter, especially when it’s hard; Inclusiveness : enabling belonging to draw strength from our differences; Reliability : words result in actions that build trust. Responsibilities
- Manage environmental projects including site assessment and remediation, risk assessment and risk management, and regulatory compliance monitoring
- Provide technical and professional leadership to multi-disciplinary project teams including engineers, scientists and technologists
- Ability to design remediation programs or risk management measures for impacted soil, groundwater, and soil vapour at contaminated sites.
- Liaise with public and private sector clients, government review and approval agencies, subconsultants, and subcontractors
- Contribute to the development and coordination of client relationships and business growth
- Contribute to client / revenue acquisition and internal team growth to deliver the business
- Contribute to business development activities including proposal preparation and presentations
- Business travel upon request
